Trump is on the Epstien Files and the FBI covered his name up

Multiple credible news sources from mid-2025 report that Donald Trump's name is present in Department of Justice files related to Jeffrey Epstein. According to reports, the FBI's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) team blacked out Trump's name and those of other public figures during a final review of the records.

Subsequently, higher-level officials at the Department of Justice and FBI decided that releasing these documents was not appropriate or warranted. Attorney General Pam Bondi reportedly informed Trump in May 2025 that his name appeared in the files. Trump has publicly denied that his name is in the files, claiming instead that the files were fabricated by former officials such as James Comey, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden.

However, these denials contradict the reporting from multiple independent outlets. While there is no public evidence that the FBI 'covered up' Trump's name with intent to protect him beyond standard redactions for privacy or legal reasons, it is accurate that his name was redacted and the documents withheld from public release.
